this year is about 5 weeks in and already off the wall. I'm sure we've all noticed changes from last semester. it's ....interesting. new ppl to chill with (kinda...) some ppl missing. new music. new games. new attitudes and outlooks.
ok... i'll just cut through all the bullshit. basically, I think we are all descending into madness. not even slowly.
i know i'm on a b-line to hell or whatever.
this is somewhat disturbing, but also quite exciting. as a group we are corrupting each other more than we ever could have individually.
I like this. i'm really just skipping down a new dark path with new ppl.
not quite a dark path as in a new path, but dark and twisted in the mind.

i really hate being sick... this is seriously the most sick i've been since i got the flu senior year of highschool.... i forgot how much it SUCKS.
for the past... week and a half all i've done is NEXT TO NOTHING ACTIVE.
everytime i feel better, i try to go do something then get even sicker the next day...
stupid thermometer lies... 97.8 F =/= everything feels cold compared to me...
i hate how i can't really trust thermometers... when your normal temp is 97.4 F it kinda fucks with the relativity of the scale vs. how bad the fever is... |

well sunday was fun, though i left my lights on in the car ad killed the battery on my rental car so i had to get a jump, lol
there's a first time for everything i guess >.<
spent a good 5 or so hours at KSC photographing stuff and seeing stuff. then i came back to the hotel and went to go swimming, only to find that the pool was just closed (AIDS? I didn't do it, i swear!!) so i just chilled on the net and watched tv.
monday i woke up kinda early, like 8 ish, ate, then went to the beach for a while. the water was frigid so i didn't swim. just kinda stood about, dickin' around for almost an hour, sicking up sand, looking for shells, and refilling the holes the crabs had dug (take that ya lil' fuckers!)
then i went back to Kennedy for the lulz and cuz it was about 8 years since i was last there and i dunno when i'll actually get another chance to be there. had lunch then drive back to the airport and chilled there for the next ~5hrs till my flight. it actually went pretty quickly...
internet and having to eat dinner makes the time go faster i guess... it's when i found the video above
caught my flight home... chilled for a while and here i am now.
so all in all it was a pretty good trip. i had a bunch of ppl ask me what i did for a living after i told them about going to JSC a few weeks ago with the flyin' lions. they were kinda blown away when i said i was a student and i did it with a team from my school...
kinda hate to admit it, but the past few days have kinda been an ego trip with a lot of 'been there, done that, saw/ experienced the real thing' =3
though i don't feel too bad since i didn't really speak it out loud much, and it'l be a good long time till it happens again.
if for some chance i had the opportunity to go into space i'd hit that faster than the speed of light.... oh i would so do it.... lol it won't happen any time soon, but i can dream sometimes ^_\\

well today was totally awesome!
we got a vip tour in the astronaut hall of fame, then we had a briefing/ orientation about the program. then we took a tour of the simulators. we were chosen for different positions for a mission on the full scale model of the shuttle cockpit and an abbreviated mission control room. i was mission specialist 1, so i got to be one of 4 who got to do a simulated space walk. (2 per mission and there were 2 missions)
after assignments, we had lunch with Astronaut John Blaha. (pics so it did happen, lol) then we had a vip tour of KSC. we got right up to the fense around launch pads 39A and B. during that we got to see a T38 taxi out and hear it take off, we couldn't see it cuz of the runway being surrounded by vegetation. though it was still awesome.
when we got back to the Hall, we went on some simulators (a moon gravity chair thing and the spinny axis chair of doom, technically called the "multi axis trainer"). after the simulators, we had a shuttle mission simulation. it was pretty awesome. got to do the space walk training, then we had a debrief and 'graduation'.
all in all i'd say it was a good day.
tomorrow i go back to kennedy for another tour (this time with camera and hopefully no rain)
i might try to hit the beach sometime tomorrow. i want to ^_\\ |

writing a hello from florida before i go to bed.
i'm excited for tomorrow, it's Astronaut Training Experience (ATX). it should be fun.
the trip has so far been equal ups and downs. maybe more ups... yea more ups.
flew into orlando thursday, rented a car then drove to the hotel near University of central florida. ppl kept thinking i was there to check out the school... it made me miss my psu hat and i really need to get another one :/
big point: OMG Chapotle! i think i spelled it right ;._.
if you ever have the chance to go and like burritos DO IT. srsly =3
today (friday) i went to the mall to the M&Ms store, lol
then i drove to the Kennedy Space center... got there about 3 and left when they kicked errybuddie out about 7 or so. got to my next hotel (i moved, lol) and found out, dispite having reservations prepaid and stuff, you can't check into a hotel unless you are 21 or older... it's kind of a law... i was kinda fux'd for a little while. i found a hotel that was kinda lax on the rules so i'm not sleeping in the car (thank god... that would have blew some serious as >.> )
turns out that 7 astronauts started this hotel ^_^ it's only a few blocks from a beach at Cocoa Beach too (where my beaches at? lol)
tomorrow is ATX then i'll hit the beach with sunblock since i'm still hella pale >.< (burns are totally do not want)
sunday, back to Kennedy to get some stuff i saw and wanted and to get pictures and another tour, just cuz i can. yay tickets good for 2 days <3
then i come home monday.
it should be awesome. as long as i don't try to compare this to the Houston trip(s)...
if i did that, this weekend would be straight up bumfux'd yo... totally
so i won't ^_\\
